Role overview
Provide presales consulting and technical solution design for enterprise systems, cloud, networks, and wireless solutions.
Translate customer requirements into solution designs, scopes of work, bills of material, and proposals.
Support sales, post-sales, management, principals, and technical teams throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Provide presales support for networks and wireless solutions.
- Design solutions and recommend products and technologies based on customer requirements.
- Support complex server, storage, data protection, disaster recovery, on-premises, and cloud requirements.
- Provide project consultations and prepare scopes of work and bills of material.
- Prepare proposals with designs, scopes of work, and bills of material.
- Liaise with principals on technical, commercial, and marketing matters.
- Advise management on market trends, customer demand, competitors, and vendors.
- Prepare opportunity and proposal performance reports.
- Maintain confidentiality of proposed solution designs and documentation.
- Coordinate with post-sales and technical teams on products, pricing, support, and performance improvements.
Technical skills
- Enterprise servers, blade systems, storage, hyperconverged infrastructure, virtualization, and Azure.
- Active Directory, Exchange, SCCM, Office 365, and other Microsoft solutions.
- VDI solutions using Citrix and Microsoft technologies.
- Networks, wireless solutions, data protection, disaster recovery, on-premises, and cloud environments.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and design experience across enterprise infrastructure and cloud technologies.
- Ability to translate customer requirements into scopes of work and bills of material.
- Ability to prepare technical proposals and provide project consultation and solution design.
- Ability to communicate technical solutions to customers, sales teams, management, principals, and post-sales teams.
