Job Description
- Understands, supports and promotes the mission, vision and values of the Organization.
- Provides age appropriate patient care according to the Nursing Scope of Practice.
- The Practical Midwife is not licensed for independent practice.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
- Maintain a high standard of nursing and midwifery care.
- Under supervision, assess and implement nursing care with patient centred approach.
- Assist in activities of daily living for patients.
- Demonstrates service excellence and acts as patient advocate.
- Understands basic indications for medications and reports side effects.
- Reports significant changes in patient condition to Registered Midwife.
- Responds to emergencies according to policies.
- Responsible for timely and accurate communication and documentation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
- Promotes and supports collaborative practice model.
- Communicate effectively with patients, carers and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Midwifery
- NLT 1 year clinical experience after graduation in maternity hospital or appropriate setting
- Candidates will be considered only for antenatal, postnatal and outpatient setting
