Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee poultry health programs to maintain optimal flock health and productivity
- Design and implement vaccination schedules, disease prevention programs, and biosecurity measures
- Monitor flock health, mortality, production performance, and disease trends
- Investigate disease outbreaks and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Coordinate diagnostic testing and collaborate with laboratory teams
- Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations, animal welfare requirements, and company health standards
- Provide technical guidance to production, hatchery, and farm management teams
- Monitor effectiveness of health programs and recommend continuous improvement
- Prepare health reports, disease surveillance summaries, and operational recommendations
- Stay up to date with emerging poultry diseases, veterinary practices, and industry developments
Requirements
- Proven experience managing poultry health programs within the poultry industry
- Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine or a related field
- Strong analytical and decision making skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities
- Ability to prepare technical reports and present recommendations to senior management
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
