Responsibilities
- Oversees a team which manages and coordinates engineering multidiscipline inputs and deliverables across multiple execution centers
- Appraises the Project Engineering team of the key execution principles and the contractual basis of the project
- Prepares Discipline Design Instruction; prepares and checks Project Engineering Manpower Plans
- Prepares multidiscipline contract requisition scopes
- Creates and implements work plan for discipline and inter discipline interfaces; identifies key dates, milestones and deliverables
- Creates work share plan
- Checks compliance with Project Quality System; able to audit projects; proactively drives team
- Ensures Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) reviews are planned and implemented
- Manages the development of project specific procedures
- Responsible for assuring quality of engineering deliverables before issue to customer
- Resolves escalated delays and changes, ensures recovery plans are implemented and reviewed
- Drives and participates in Design Verification; understands risk and mitigation requirements
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Typically requires 15 years in a project delivery environment
- Experience in mega EPC/EPCm project is required
- Previous experience with ADNOC Projects/PMC would be an advantage
- Deep understanding of technical work scopes and commercial aspects of projects
- Able to use conditions of contract to support decisions on schedules, key milestones and change management
- Has good working and application knowledge of specifications and standards
- Extensive experience in delivering to internal customers, including other Engineering disciplines
- Familiar with change management practices and able to robustly manage change
- Has an expert knowledge of standards, procedures and work practices
- Able to lead Project Engineering team; able to manage between Engineering Discipline Groups
- Good communicator in leading work effort; motivates team

Job Objective
- Ensure successful project delivery by leading engineering teams, managing technical scope, controlling quality/cost/schedule, mitigating risks, and coordinating stakeholders.
- Deliver project on time, within budget, and to specified standards, acting as main technical liaison for the client.

- Resolves escalated delays and changes, ensures recovery plans are implemented and reviewed.
- Drives and participates in Design Verification; understands risk and mitigation requirements.
- Uses knowledge of conditions of contract to support decisions on schedules, key milestones and change management.
- Quantifies effects of change project wide; develops mitigation plans and drives change management.
Responsibilities People Management
- Supervises work of technical professionals in the delivery of engineering deliverables including checking work.
- Coordinates and manages inputs from large interdisciplinary team (typically 50+).
- Provides communication to project team; strong in leading people to participate and contribute.
Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Typically requires 15 years in a project delivery environment.
- Experience in mega EPC/EPCm project is required.
