About the Role
Wood is seeking a PMC Senior Mechanical Engineer (UAE National) to provide technical expertise in mechanical equipment design for oil and gas projects. The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 12+ years of experience, and knowledge of ADNOC standards and international codes.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise in all mechanical equipment design
- Ensure design and engineering compliance with relevant codes and ADNOC standards
- Coordinate, monitor and handle static equipment design and engineering with EPC Contractor as per project expectation
- Work with other discipline engineers within IPMT, EPC Contractor, ADNOC Engineering / Operation / Site Interface to resolve technical issues
- Perform regular and timely technical reviews of Mechanical Engineering deliverables developed by engineering consultants/contractors
- Participate in teams for equipment sizing / equipment selection considering optimization and standardization
- Ensure that the facilities are designed in accordance with the latest corporate guidelines with respect to environment and health aspects
- Participate in layout reviews, Model review, design reviews, and technical workshops
- Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers
- Coordinate technical reviews and bid evaluation, and performance evaluation
- Provide technical assistance during installation, pre commissioning & commissioning
- Report to ADNOC Discipline Team Leader, Engineering Manager, and provide support to Project Managers and Engineers within the Project Management Team organization
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in oil and gas industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills
- Experience and detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards
- Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software
- Ability to make independent decisions in planning, organizing and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems
- Ensure integration of overall Mechanical Engineering
- Ensure quality and accuracy of Engineering Consultant’s & EPC Contractor’s Mechanical Engineering design activities
- Review and approval of Engineering Consultant's and EPC Contractor's work and ensure compliance with ADNOC project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best industry practices

Job Objective
