About the Role
Wood seeks a Senior HSE Engineer for offshore oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves implementing ADNOC HSE policies, leading risk assessments, incident investigations, and promoting safety culture on rotational offshore assignments.

Responsibilities
- Implement ADNOC Offshore HSE policies, standards, procedures, and Life Saving Rules
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC CoP, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and relevant international standards
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor HSE performance offshore
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and site HSE assessments
- Lead and participate in HAZID, HAZOP, JSA, TRA, and SIMOPS reviews
- Ensure risk assessments are properly implemented and controlled
- Monitor critical activities including lifting operations, confined space entry, hot work, and marine operations
- Lead incident/near miss reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis
- Ensure timely close out of corrective and preventive actions
- Prepare and submit HSE reports, statistics, and KPI dashboards
- Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety campaigns offshore
- Promote behavioral safety and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of HSE experience, with at least 5 years offshore oil & gas experience
- Strong experience working with ADNOC Offshore or major EPC contractors is highly preferred
- Proven experience in rotational offshore assignments
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline
- NEBOSH IGC / NEBOSH Diploma
- ADNOC Offshore H2S & Offshore Safety Certifications
- OPITO / BOSIET / HUET (as applicable)
- Strong knowledge of ADNOC HSE Management System (HSEMS)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and reporting skills
- Ability to manage multicultural teams offshore
- High level of risk awareness and decision making capability
- Proficient in MS Office and HSE reporting tools
