Responsibilities

  • Review and approve civil and structural engineering deliverables prepared by EPC contractors and engineering consultants.
  • Ensure designs comply with ADNOC standards, project specifications, international codes, and industry best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations on civil and structural engineering matters.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical issues and interface concerns.
  • Participate in design reviews, value engineering studies, and constructability assessments.
  • Review design calculations, specifications, drawings, and material submittals related to foundations, pipe racks, structural steel, buildings, roads, drainage, underground utilities, and retaining structures.
  • Monitor EPC contractor engineering performance and compliance with project requirements.
  • Review technical queries, deviations, concessions, and change requests.
  • Coordinate with ADNOC stakeholders, PMC disciplines, contractors, and third party consultants.
  • Provide engineering support during construction and site execution phases.
  • Review construction methodologies, temporary works designs, and site modifications.
  • Assist in resolving field engineering issues and non conformance reports (NCRs).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Master's Degree in Structural Engineering is an advantage.
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Typically 15+ years of civil/structural engineering experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, or energy sector.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in PMC, EPC, or major capital projects.
  • Strong experience with ADNOC projects and standards is highly desirable.
  • Experience covering FEED, detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and project handover phases.
  • Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering design principles.
  • Familiarity with ADNOC standards, international codes, and engineering specifications.
  • Experience in reviewing engineering software outputs and structural analysis reports.
  • Strong technical review, problem solving, and decision making skills.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Timely review and approval of engineering deliverables.
  • Compliance with ADNOC standards and project specifications.
  • Resolution of technical issues within agreed timelines.
  • Engineering deliverables completed within project schedule requirements.
  • Reduction of design related rework and non conformances.
  • Successful support of construction, commissioning, and project handover activities.
