About the Role
Wood is seeking a PMC Specialist Structural Engineer for ADNOC Offshore projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves reviewing EPC contractors' structural designs, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes, and providing technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
- Review and approve structural design deliverables from EPC contractors including design basis, calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC Engineering Standards and international codes (API, AISC, BS, Eurocode, ISO, DNV)
- Perform independent checks on critical structural calculations when required
- Review structural analyses (in place, transportation, lifting, fatigue, seismic, blast, and accidental loads)
- Provide technical input for constructability, operability, and maintainability
- Act as PMC focal point for all structural engineering matters
- Interface with client (ADNOC Offshore), EPC contractors, and other disciplines
- Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, constructability and design review workshops
- Support project phases: FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation & Commissioning
- Review vendor documents, fabrication and installation methodologies, lifting plans and transportation analyses
- Support site activities during fabrication and offshore installation as required
- Ensure all structural designs meet HSE, quality, and ADNOC offshore safety requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng / PE) is an advantage
- 15+ years of experience in structural engineering
- Minimum 8–10 years in offshore oil & gas projects
- Proven PMC / Consultant experience with EPC contractor oversight
- Strong experience with ADNOC Offshore or Middle East offshore projects is highly preferred
- Offshore structural design & review
- Knowledge of offshore installation methods
- Familiarity with ADNOC standards and offshore HSE practices

Job Overview
- Wood is recruiting a PMC Specialist Structural Engineer for ADNOC Offshore projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
- The role will be based at the client office with possible offshore rotation.
