- Supervise and monitor mechanical construction activities performed by EPC contractors
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, codes, standards, and HSE requirements
- Verify contractor manpower, equipment, and resources are adequate for planned activities
- Monitor construction progress and report any deviations from schedule
- Supervise installation of static equipment, rotating equipment, piping systems, mechanical packages, HVAC, and utility systems
- Review method statements, work packs, and inspection test plans (ITPs)
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on site
- Ensure contractors comply with permit to work (PTW) systems
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety audits, and incident investigations
- Witness inspections and testing activities
- Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, commissioning, HSE, and planning teams
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly construction reports
Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical or equivalent from an accredited institute
- Minimum of 10+ years experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry
- Minimum 5 years (preferred) in GCC region
- PMC experience on EPC onshore brownfield field production upgradation and modification of existing facilities projects is highly preferable

Job Description
- Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced PMC Construction Supervisor Mechanical with extensive experience in the oil and Gas industry for ADNOC Onshore client to be based in Abu Dhabi.
- Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based at onshore site in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The Role
- The PMC Construction Supervisor – Mechanical is responsible for overseeing and monitoring all mechanical construction activities executed by EPC contractors on an onshore oil & gas project.
- Ensures that construction work is completed safely, in compliance with project specifications, approved procedures, quality standards, and project schedules.

Qualifications

- Minimum of Ten (10+) years experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry including minimum five (5) years (preferred) in GCC region.
- PMC experience on EPC onshore brownfield field production upgradation and modification of existing facilities projects is highly preferable.
