Towers Rotana is seeking a plumber to support maintenance operations and provide effective solutions for guests.
The position is based at Towers Rotana.
The plumber will install, repair, and maintain plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in accordance with relevant codes.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain automatic flushing valves and clean kitchen fat traps.
- Use suitable maintenance chemicals to clean soil and stack pipes.
- Keep roof ventilation pipes and rainwater outlets clear.
- Review building plans and specifications for plumbing layouts and materials.
- Select tools, equipment, and appropriate pipe types and sizes.
- Mark positions for connections and fixtures and install supports and hangers.
- Install, repair, and maintain storm, sanitary, and water piping systems.
- Install, repair, and maintain sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, and conditioners.
Education and experience
- An apprenticeship as a plumber or previous experience in the same position is expected.
- The candidate should be physically fit and able to work under relevant policies and regulations.
- A good command of English and the ability to find and rectify faults are essential.
Knowledge and competencies
- The role requires a self-motivated, hands-on, flexible, proactive, and reliable approach.
- The candidate should adapt to unpredictable events and remain calm under pressure.
- Relevant competencies include teamwork, taking responsibility, recognising differences, adaptability, and customer focus.
