Towers Rotana is seeking a passionate and dynamic maintenance professional who can deliver high levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to guests.
The position is based at Towers Rotana.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate electrical equipment installation, repair, and inspection for compliance with government electrical codes and company standards.
- Maintain electrical equipment, control panels, motors, appliances, tools, and related records in safe and working condition.
- Prepare and follow preventive maintenance schedules and maintain records for future reference.
- Distribute work to subordinates according to capability and ensure completed work meets specified standards.
- Coordinate with other departments regarding work quality and progress.
- Provide on-the-job training and multitasking opportunities for engineering employees.
- Understand and follow hotel emergency procedures.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in electrical engineering is ideally preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role is expected.
- Proven knowledge of developing and implementing electrical procedures is required.
- A good command of English is essential.
- The ability to find faults and rectify electrical systems is essential.
Knowledge and Competencies
- The candidate should be self-motivated and hands-on, with a flexible approach to unpredictable events.
- The role requires a proactive and reliable approach, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Relevant competencies include adaptability, customer focus, drive for results, effective communication, planning, supervising operations, supervising people, teamwork, and understanding hotel operations.
