Platform Engineer II

Design, build and maintain cloud-native platform capabilities

Contribute to the development and evolution of our AWS-based platform, with a focus on scalability, reliability and security.

Support production services through monitoring, incident response and operational improvements.

Implement and enhance observability, security and automation

Collaborate closely with developers to improve self-service capabilities

Build and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices.

Participate in on-call support and contribute to improving platform reliability

Work with senior engineers to deliver platform enhancements and drive continuous improvement.

Support cost optimisation initiatives and help ensure efficient use of cloud resources.

Experience working within Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or a similar cloud infrastructure role.

Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, particularly Amazon EKS.

Knowledge of cloud-native technologies and modern platform engineering practices.

Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.

Familiarity with GitOps approaches and CI/CD tooling, ideally GitLab CI/CD.

Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.

Experience implementing monitoring, logging and observability solutions.

Understanding of cloud security principles,

Proficiency in at least one programming language - Python, Go, Java or C#.
