NB Power’s Generation division is seeking Plant Operators at the Belledune Generating Station. The Operator is responsible for controlling the operation of the generating units and auxiliary equipment in order to maintain the efficient production and continuous flow of electricity to meet system operating requirements.

Conducting operational checks of all plant and auxiliary equipment

Completing environmental compliance checks inside and outside the station

Performing system lockout/tag out in support of maintenance

Power Engineering Technology Diploma

Third Class Power Engineer Licence. Must obtain Second Class Power Engineering License within thirty-six (36) months from the date of hire. (Note: candidates who have not completed the diploma, but possess a Second Class Power Engineering License will be considered)

Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with an acceptable driving record

An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
