About the Role

Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, planning & reporting, or expense management within a global organization
- 2+ years of experience analyzing financial and operational data
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity
- Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills

Job Description
- Sun Life’s Corporate Expense Management team oversees more than CAD 14B of annual expenditures.
- The team works with Digital, Business and Technology Solutions (DBTS) and corporate finance areas to support critical financial deliverables.
- This role reports to the Manager, Expense Management.
What will you do?
- Collaborate with Business Group partners to develop consolidated expense reporting variance analysis and actionable insights to senior leaders.
- Coordinate key expense components of the annual Strategic Plan and Business Plan deliverables, including budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Execute on our digitization and automation expense priorities, leveraging technical capabilities and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Lead ad hoc requests from senior leadership and multiple stakeholders, delivering complete, well supported analysis.
- Build strong relationships with Corporate and Business Group partners.
What do you need to succeed?
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, planning & reporting, or expense management within a global organization.
- 2+ years of experience analyzing financial and operational data, drawing sound conclusions and making informed recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate internal and external reporting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information at the executive level.
- Ability to manage through complexity and ambiguity with a ‘can do’ attitude and ownership mindset.
- Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in the insurance industry or a large financial institution is an asset.
- Working knowledge of relevant applications is an asset (Hyperion, SAP, Longview, Workiva, Tableau).

Salary Range
- The Base Pay range is 60,000 97,000 CAD for the primary location.
- Eligible employees participate in various incentive plans.
