Position Overview
The Construction Planning Engineer develops and maintains the project baseline programme.
The role monitors progress, analyzes planned versus actual performance, and supports timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and update project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Monitor construction progress against planned work.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, and look-ahead plans.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams, and subcontractors.
- Support resource planning, recovery schedules, and Extension of Time claims.
- Track critical activities, identify delays, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Support delivery within approved timelines and contractual milestones.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 4 to 7 years of UAE or GCC planning experience, ideally on high-rise or large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to interpret civil, structural, and MEP construction drawings.
- Strong analytical, time-management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive attitude.
