The Plan Member Service Representative will:
supporting clients on both pension + benefits area in addition to Individual Financial Services.
Work closely with an Account Manager’s client block to cover all aspects of plan member needs •
Assist plan members and designated Plan Administrators (PA’s) with Life, Disability and Critical Illness (CI) claim forms
Follow up with insurers, plan members and PA’s through all stages of the Life, Disability and CI claim process •
Assist plan members and PA’s with Health and Dental Claims (help complete forms, answer inquiries, contact insurers, pharmacies, and service providers to ensure claims get processed)
Assist PA’s with enrollments and terminations
Assist PA’s with online changes (e.g. salary adjustments, address changes, class/division transfers, etc.)
Act as liaison between Plan Members, PA’s and insurance carriers for general inquiries
Assist Plan Members with accessing their EFAP plans
Updating PA contact information with insurance carriers
Support communication initiatives with clients on an ongoing basis
To be successful as a Plan Member Service Representative, you will need:
Ability to speak to and educate plan members regarding any matters related to their group benefits
Familiarity with group benefits terminology
Clear understanding of record keeping and follow up responsibilities
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to take direction and manage shifting priorities and deadlines
Ability to work independently and self-manage time and assigned tasks with minimal monitoring
To effectively communicate with and support team members who are travelling and working directly with clients
Empathy and cultural sensitivity
Strong commitment to privacy and confidentiality
All Star Candidates will have:
Group benefits and/or group retirement experience an asset
Customer service experience
Post-secondary education in a related field GBA, RPA or CEBS courses an asset
Knowledge of CRM (Salesforce) is an asset
Excellent customer service and communication skills (written, and verbal)
Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
