BIOFerm™ is looking for a Piping Engineer to be responsible for the design, specification, and coordination of piping systems used in BIOFerm’s renewable energy facilities. This role ensures that all piping layouts, materials, and assemblies meet project requirements, safety standards, and operational performance goals. The ideal candidate has a strong background in piping design for process or industrial systems, with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines to deliver high-quality, cost-effective designs.
BIOFerm™ is a Wisconsin-based renewable energy company specializing in turnkey anaerobic digestion and biogas upgrading facilities. Our mission is to provide sustainable and economical solutions for organic waste diversion, transforming food waste, manure, biosolids, and other organic materials into renewable natural gas (RNG), green energy, vehicle fuel, heat, and organic products.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop piping systems for biogas and anaerobic digestion facilities, including process flow, utility, and support piping.
Maintain P&IDs, piping layouts, isometric drawings, and material takeoffs.
Select appropriate materials, valves, fittings, and supports based on process conditions, pressure, and compatibility.
Collaborate with process, mechanical, structural, and electrical engineers to ensure integrated, constructible designs.
Review vendor drawings and submittals for compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and contractors to support fabrication, installation, and testing.
Conduct site visits for layout verification, equipment tie-ins, and field modifications.
