Role Description
The Performance & Learning Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization's performance management and learning & development initiatives.
The role ensures effective execution of performance cycles, employee development programs, training administration, and talent development activities that align with organizational objectives and enhance employee capability and engagement.
Performance Management
- Coordinate and administer the organization's performance management cycle, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, annual evaluations, and calibration activities.
- Monitor completion rates and ensure compliance with performance management timelines.
- Generate performance reports, dashboards, and analytics to support decision-making.
- Support managers and employees by providing guidance on performance management policies, processes, and systems.
- Identify trends and opportunities for performance improvement through data analysis.
- Assist in developing and maintaining performance management frameworks, tools, and procedures.
Learning & Development
- Collaborate with the L&D team to:
- Coordinate learning and development programs, including mandatory, technical, leadership, and behavioural training initiatives.
- Manage training calendars, nominations, attendance tracking, and completion reporting.
- Administer Learning Management Systems (LMS) and ensure training records are accurate and up to date.
- Conduct training needs analysis in collaboration with business units and HR stakeholders.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and post-training feedback.
- Support the development of learning content, communication materials, and employee development plans.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports related to performance management and learning activities.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and learning metrics.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, employee experience, and program effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field.
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in Human Resources, Learning & Development, or Performance Management.
- Experience administering performance management processes and learning programs.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and HR systems is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Excellent analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and HR systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Problem-solving mindset and continuous improvement orientation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications in HR, performance management, or learning & development.
- Experience with data visualization tools is preferred.
