Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures and compliance standards across all Network Operations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (SAMA ITGF) and industry standards (PCI DSS)
- Assist in configuration and maintenance of network hardware (routers, switches, wireless access points, load balancers)
- Investigate and resolve recurring network issues, identifying root causes and implementing long term fixes
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network systems
- Assist in network capacity planning and optimization
- Participate in network projects, upgrades, and migrations
- Evaluate and recommend network solutions and services
- Assist, maintain IT disaster recovery plan and execution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field
- CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent highly preferred
- 4 6 years of experience in network administration or operations, preferably in banking or financial sector
- Hands on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet or similar enterprise grade network equipment
- Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching)
- Familiarity with network monitoring and ticketing tools (e.g., Open Text, SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, ServiceNow)

About the Role
- The Network Administrator is responsible for the implementation, management, monitoring, and security of the AESA’s network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures and compliance standards across all Network Operations, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), VPNs, proxies, DNS security, and other Network Operations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (SAMA ITGF) and industry standards (PCI DSS) related to IT Network Operations, disaster recovery and business continuity
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of network hardware (routers, switches, wireless access points, load balancers, etc.)
- Investigate and resolve recurring network issues, identifying root causes and implementing long term fixes
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network systems and support business operations
- Assist in network capacity planning and optimization to meet current and future network demands
- Participate in network projects, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring smooth implementation and minimal disruption
- Participate in evaluating and onboarding new network tools or solutions, including vendor coordination and testing
- Evaluate and recommend network solutions and services, aligning with business and technical needs
- Assist, maintain IT disaster recovery plan and execution to ensure rapid recovery and minimal downtime during critical events or failures
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field
- Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, or equivalent is highly preferred
Experience
- 4–6 years of experience in network administration or operations, preferably in the banking or financial sector
- Hands on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar enterprise grade network equipment
Skills
- Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching)
- Basic configuration and troubleshooting skills for network devices (Cisco, Palo Alto, etc.)
- Familiarity with network monitoring and ticketing tools (e.g., Open Text, SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, ServiceNow)
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios)
- Knowledge of Network Operations principles and protocols
- Skilled in monitoring systems performance, incident management, change control and ensuring operational continuity 24/7
- Comprehensive understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think through hypothetical situations and concepts and to identify risks and weaknesses
