Job Title: Pega Developer (CSSA Certified) Position: Senior Software Engineer Experience: 5 – 8 Years Category: Software Development / BPM Shift: General Shift Main Location: Hyderabad / Bangalore / Chennai Position ID: J0626-2486 Employment Type: Full Time Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. ________________________________________ Position Description: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pega Developer (CSSA Certified) to design, develop, and implement enterprise-level Business Process Management (BPM) applications using the Pega platform. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Pega Case Management, workflow automation, integrations, and application development while adhering to Pega best practices and guardrails. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality enterprise solutions in an Agile environment. #LI-AS26
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Pega Application Development • Design, develop, and implement enterprise-level Pega BPM applications. • Build and configure: o Case Types o Flows o User Interface (UI) Sections o Data Models o Business Rules o Integrations • Ensure compliance with Pega Guardrails and development best practices. Case Management & Workflow Design • Design end-to-end business workflows using Pega Case Management. • Develop reusable components, frameworks, and rule sets. • Configure business rules, decision tables, validations, and routing logic. Integration & APIs • Develop and consume REST and SOAP web services. • Integrate Pega applications with external systems using: o REST/SOAP APIs o Connectors and Services o File Processing • Ensure secure and reliable data exchange across enterprise systems. Performance Optimization • Analyze application performance and identify bottlenecks. • Optimize application scalability and performance. • Follow enterprise architecture standards and coding guidelines. Code Quality & Testing • Perform unit testing and peer code reviews. • Prepare technical documentation and deployment artifacts. • Support QA teams during Integration Testing, System Testing, and UAT. • Ensure high-quality and defect-free deliverables. Agile Delivery • Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies. • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Product Owners, and QA teams. • Provide technical estimates and participate in sprint planning activities. • Support production deployments and post-production activities.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Must-Have Skills: • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Pega Application Development. • Pega CSSA (Certified Senior System Architect) Certification. • Strong expertise in Pega Case Management. • Hands-on experience with: o Case Types o Flows o Sections o Harnesses o Data Pages o Decision Tables o Activities o Data Transforms • Experience in REST and SOAP web service integrations. • Strong understanding of Pega Guardrails and best practices. • Experience with enterprise-level BPM application development. • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. ________________________________________ Good-to-Have Skills: • Experience with Pega Customer Service Framework. • Knowledge of Pega Decisioning or Robotics. • Experience with Oracle or SQL databases. • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation. • Healthcare, Insurance, or Banking domain experience.
