Payroll Accountant

Overview

Location: Al Quoz Industrial 4

Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for the whole Payroll process
• Enters and records all payroll and employee data in **Tally** and **ZOHO** accounting software for efficient financial management
• Prepare all the Payroll-related costs during the Budgeting process
• Update all the Payroll-related costs during the Quarterly Forecast
• Entry and follow-up of employees’ deductions, loans, additions, bonuses, unpaid leaves, etc.
• Process and issue employee monthly pay slips, and ensure their distribution to the employees
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll related laws and best practices
• Posting of gratuity calculation accrual entries
• Supports in VAT submission
• Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information
• Collect, sort and check supplier invoices
• Data entry, including vouchers, accounting statements, other reports and records
• Prepare sales tax invoices/bills
• Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements
• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Other ad hoc responsibilities such as; adding new employees to Tally, processing and posting of salary advance requests, EOSB payment, Social security contribution payments

Requirements

• **Mandatory: Advance knowledge of Tally accounting software and ZOHO for efficient financial management**
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in finance and accounting.
• Strong knowledge of WPS regulations and other applicable local and regional labor and financial laws.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• In-depth understanding of UAE accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and other financial reporting tools.
• Trustworthy and dependable in handling confidential and sensitive payroll and financial information.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and resolve issues professionally.
• Good overall communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
• Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
