Responsibilities
- Read, interpret, and work from approved blueprints, layouts, and technical instructions
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, MDF, plywood, and other materials to exact specifications
- Install custom furniture, cabinets, wardrobes, and wooden fixtures
- Fit doors, locks, and replace door hinges and hardware
- Execute interior finishing tasks, including installation of skirting, decorative wall/ceiling mouldings, and wall panels
- Lay and repair laminate and wood flooring
- Inspect elements for defects, apply finishing touches (sanding and staining), and ensure high quality, precise installation
- Use hand and power tools safely, maintain a clean workspace, and manage materials responsibly
- Collaborate with designers or supervisors to meet design and quality standards
Requirements
- Minimum 4 6 years of proven experience as a Carpenter or Joinery Installer, preferably in residential or fit out projects
- Strong working knowledge of carpentry, joinery, and interior finishing
- Proficient in using carpentry tools and machinery safely
- High attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and resolve on site installation issues
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials
