Position Purpose

  • The Patient Support Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care in the community setting that assists patients to achieve optimum health and quality of life in situations of chronic disease.
  • The Patient Support Nurse is responsible for the provision and management of effective nursing care to individuals and/or families in the community or in Patient Support Programs.
  • The Nurse works in adherence to the Policies and Procedures set by Axios International and works in accordance with established standards of nursing practices according to local and international rules and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Place the patient at the center of every interaction — listen carefully, respect their preferences, involve them in decisions, and provide care with dignity and compassion.
  • Deliver and coordinate patient and HCP education programs across various clinical specialties.
  • Support the development of workshops, microlearning modules, and experiential learning activities.
  • Assist in designing and implementing care pathways that improve treatment adherence and patient outcomes.
  • Provide input into the creation of evidence based protocols and patient resources.
  • Enhance patient communication strategies and promote culturally competent care.
  • Facilitate training for staff on emotional intelligence, active listening, and shared decision making.
  • Participate in patient experience improvement projects, including patient journey mapping and co design activities.
  • Support the development of nurse led innovation and research projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate healthcare projects.
  • Coordinate with national and international nursing associations and professional bodies.
  • Assist with continuing professional development (CPD) accreditation processes.

Educational Background and Experience

  • A BS Degree in Nursing is required with at least 2 years working experience in a healthcare setting
  • Must be a licensed nurse with evidence from the Ministry of Health/DHA/DOH and be enrolled in the syndicate of nurses in UAE.
  • Excellent command of English with a demonstrated clinical nursing knowledge and experience in providing direct patient care
  • Experience in Oncology is an advantage.

Job Circumstances

  • The position is based in our regional office, and it does entail frequent travel to Clients and partners which may be outside your designated region
  • Flexibility in ability to travel as well as working hours is essential
