Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures smooth and efficient operation and control of the Pastry Shop daily
  • Responsible for production, quality, and presentation of pastry and dessert assortment
  • Assists CDP Pastry in preparing production forecasts and recording leftovers
  • Assists in set up of pastry display in buffets
  • Must have complete knowledge of USPH rules and regulations
  • Ensures cleaning of Pastry Shop per schedule
  • Ensures pastry galley ready for USPH inspections
  • Responsible for requisition and transportation of items from main stores
  • Ensures recipes and yields are in accordance with company standards
  • Assists CDP Pastry with daily pastry consumption re cap
  • Attends meetings, training activities, and other work related activities
  • Performs related duties as required

Qualifications and Education

  • Minimum 3 years experience as Pastry Cook in upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and use of equipment
  • Completion of high school or basic education equivalency
  • Strong English communication skills
