Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth and efficient operation and control of the Pastry Shop daily
  • Responsible for production, quality, and presentation of pastry and dessert assortment
  • Assist CDP Pastry in preparing production forecasts and recording leftovers
  • Assist in set up of pastry display in buffets
  • Must have complete knowledge of USPH rules and regulations and ensure daily compliance
  • Ensure cleaning of Pastry Shop per schedule established by Executive Pastry Chef
  • Ensure pastry galley is ready for USPH inspections
  • Responsible for requisition and transportation of necessary items from main stores
  • Ensure recipes and yields are in accordance with company standards
  • Assist CDP Pastry with daily pastry consumption recap
  • Acquire necessary knowledge to comply with ship's standard operation
  • Attend meetings, training activities, courses and all other work related activities

Qualifications and Education

  • Minimum 3 years experience as Pastry Cook in upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or convention banqueting service
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and use of equipment
  • Completion of high school or basic education equivalency
  • Strong English communication skills
