- Consistently deliver exceptional quality, creativity, and presentation in all pastry and bakery products
- Lead and supervise the pastry team, ensuring efficient daily operations and adherence to brand standards
- Design and develop innovative dessert menus, seasonal specialties, and special occasion offerings
- Ensure all pastry items are prepared, presented, and served according to established recipes and quality standards
- Monitor food costs, minimize waste, and contribute to achieving departmental financial objectives
- Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety in compliance with HACCP requirements
- Coordinate with the Executive Chef and culinary team to support hotel events, banquets, and outlet promotions
- Train, mentor, and motivate team members to enhance their skills and performance
- Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of pastry ingredients and supplies
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and report any maintenance requirements promptly
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef with minimum 3 5 years in a leadership role within luxury hotels or upscale restaurants
- Culinary degree or professional pastry certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, chocolate work, sugar artistry, and dessert presentation
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to train and develop team members while fostering a positive working environment
- Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Proficiency in inventory management, cost control, and menu planning
