Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard new merchant partners across retail, dining, travel, entertainment, e commerce, and lifestyle sectors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with merchant partners, acting as the primary point of contact and driving long term commercial value
- Design and optimize merchant funded offers, cashback campaigns, loyalty rewards, and promotional initiatives to increase cardholder engagement and spending
- Lead commercial negotiations, securing favorable terms including revenue share agreements, co funded campaigns, and exclusive partnerships
- Monitor and analyze partnership performance against key KPIs and provide actionable insights to maximize ROI
- Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking to identify emerging trends, new merchant categories, and partnership opportunities
- Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Digital, CRM, Risk, Compliance, and other business teams to ensure seamless campaign execution and regulatory compliance
- Support the development and enhancement of the bank's overall loyalty and merchant partnership strategy
- Track offer performance, redemption rates, engagement metrics, and spend uplift to continuously improve customer value propositions
- Manage multiple partnership initiatives simultaneously while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in merchant acquisition, partnership management, business development, or loyalty program management
- Proven experience within Banking, Cards & Payments, FinTech, Card Issuing, Acquiring, or Loyalty Programs
- Strong track record of sourcing, negotiating, onboarding, and managing merchant partnerships
- Experience designing and managing loyalty programs, cashback propositions, merchant funded offers, and rewards initiatives
- Good understanding of card scheme rules (Visa/Mastercard), interchange economics, and merchant offer mechanics
- Advanced analytical skills with experience using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field

Role Overview
- Our client, a leading player in the banking and payments sector, is seeking a Partnership Manager – Merchant Partnerships & Loyalty to join its growing Loyalty and Cards team in Doha, Qatar.
- This role is focused on expanding the merchant ecosystem, building strategic partnerships, and delivering impactful loyalty and rewards initiatives that drive cardholder engagement, portfolio growth, and revenue generation.
- The successful candidate will own the full merchant partnership lifecycle—from identifying and acquiring new partners to optimizing existing relationships and launching compelling merchant funded offers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard new merchant partners across retail, dining, travel, entertainment, e commerce, and lifestyle sectors.

Knowledge & Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in merchant acquisition, partnership management, business development, or loyalty program management.
- Proven experience within Banking, Cards & Payments, FinTech, Card Issuing, Acquiring, or Loyalty Programs.
- Strong track record of sourcing, negotiating, onboarding, and managing merchant partnerships.
- Experience designing and managing loyalty programs, cashback propositions, merchant funded offers, and rewards initiatives.
- Good understanding of card scheme rules (Visa/Mastercard), interchange economics, and merchant offer mechanics.
- Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with loyalty management platforms (Comarch, Giift, Collinson, Novus Loyalty, or equivalent).
- Advanced analytical skills with experience using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands on execution in a fast paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- MBA is advantageous.
- Arabic language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
- Certifications such as Certified Loyalty Marketing Professional (CLMP) are desirable.
- Experience with A/B testing and Test & Learn methodologies for offer optimization.
Mandatory Requirements
- Previous experience within Banking, Cards & Payments, or FinTech
- Proven merchant acquisition and partnership management experience
- Strong analytical and data driven decision making capabilities
- Professional English fluency
