- Build, maintain, and deliver recurring and ad hoc performance dashboards covering acquisition, activation, spend, ENR, delinquency, attrition, and profitability metrics
- Conduct deep dive analyses on portfolio segments to identify performance drivers, risks, and growth opportunities
- Design and execute pre/post campaign analytics including control group methodology, ROI calculation, and response rate analysis
- Provide structured analytical support to Cards Product, Portfolio, Marketing, and Risk teams through insight packs, business cases, and scenario analyses
- Identify opportunities to improve data integrity, automate recurring reports, and enhance self serve analytics capabilities
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualisations (Tableau/Power BI) for self service
- Translate analytical findings into clear, concise insight packs and presentations for senior management
- Collaborate cross functionally with Product, Marketing, Risk, Operations, and Finance teams
Requirements
- 7+ years in cards/portfolio analytics or BI within banking, payments, or fintech
- Strong SQL, advanced Excel, and Tableau/Power BI skills
- Solid understanding of cards portfolio metrics and P&L
- Experience in campaign analytics (segmentation, uplift, ROI)
- Strong knowledge of Python/R or SAS
- Exposure to CRM tools and card/core banking systems
- Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) preferred

Role Overview
- Our client, a Global Cards & Payments firm, is engaged with a leading bank in Qatar and is seeking a Cards Analytics Specialist to strengthen data driven decision making across the cards lifecycle.
- The role entails end to end ownership of portfolio analytics and reporting, including monitoring performance trends, identifying risks and opportunities, evaluating campaign effectiveness, and translating complex data into clear recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio performance reporting & monitoring (~35%): Build, maintain, and deliver recurring and ad hoc performance dashboards covering acquisition, activation, spend, ENR, delinquency, attrition, and profitability metrics.
- Portfolio diagnostics & segmentation analysis (~25%): Conduct deep dive analyses on portfolio segments to identify performance drivers, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Campaign measurement & effectiveness analysis (~20%): Design and execute pre/post campaign analytics including control group methodology, ROI calculation, and response rate analysis.
- Data driven decision support (~15%): Provide structured analytical support to Cards Product, Portfolio, Marketing, and Risk teams through insight packs, business cases, and scenario analyses.
- Data quality & automation (~5%): Identify opportunities to improve data integrity, automate recurring reports, and enhance self serve analytics capabilities.
- Own and deliver the recurring cards portfolio performance reporting suite (daily/weekly/monthly), ensuring timely, accurate, and insight rich output.
- Diagnose portfolio health by conducting segmentation, cohort, vintage, and trend analyses across the card lifecycle.
- Design and execute campaign measurement frameworks including A/B testing structures, control groups, uplift calculations, and ROI analysis.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualisations (Tableau/Power BI) for stakeholder self service.
- Translate analytical findings into clear, concise insight packs and presentations for senior management.
- Collaborate cross functionally with Product, Marketing, Risk, Operations, and Finance teams.
- Continuously improve data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes.
Knowledge and Experience
- 7+ years in cards/portfolio analytics or BI within banking, payments, or fintech
- Strong SQL, advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX MATCH, data modelling, macros) and Tableau/Power BI skills required.
- Solid understanding of cards portfolio metrics and P&L (acquisition to profitability, interchange, fees, provisions)
- Exposure to retail banking, lending, or credit risk analytics
- Experience in campaign analytics (segmentation, uplift, ROI)
- Familiarity with card scheme reporting and benchmarking tools
- Strong knowledge of Python/R or SAS
- Exposure to CRM tools and card/core banking systems
- Strong data storytelling and stakeholder management
- Problem solving mindset with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Collaborative approach across Product, Marketing, Risk, and Finance
- Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) & core banking / card management systems (CMS) exposure preferred.
