Role Description

The PAM/IAM Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar.

This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions to secure critical systems and data.

Day-to-day activities include configuring and managing access control policies, integrating PAM/IAM platforms with enterprise applications, monitoring access activities, and responding to security incidents related to identities and privileged accounts.

The engineer will collaborate with security, network, and infrastructure teams to define requirements, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with organizational security standards.

The role also involves documenting solutions, providing technical support, and participating in system upgrades and audits to continuously improve identity security posture.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of PAM/IAM concepts and tools, such as role-based access control, single sign-on, multifactor authentication, and privileged account vaulting.
  • Experience designing, configuring, and maintaining IAM or PAM platforms (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Thycotic, SailPoint, Okta, Azure AD, or similar solutions).
  • Solid understanding of information security principles, including least privilege, network security, and compliance frameworks relevant to identity management.
  • Ability to integrate IAM/PAM solutions with directory services, operating systems, databases, and enterprise applications using APIs, connectors, and automation scripts.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting access issues, analyzing logs, and preparing reports on identity-related risks, incidents, and audit findings.
  • Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in security or identity management (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or vendor-specific IAM/PAM certifications) are an advantage.
  • Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and strong documentation and analytical capabilities.
