Responsibilities
- Inspect surface preparation activities including blasting, cleaning, and profiling prior to coating
- Verify environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and dew point before and during painting
- Ensure correct paint materials, batch numbers, and mixing procedures are followed
- Monitor application of coatings including DFT, WFT, and adhesion tests
- Perform inspections for coating defects such as blistering, peeling, runs, pinholes, and corrosion
- Ensure compliance with approved ITP, QCP, and project specifications
- Coordinate with client inspectors, third party agencies, and class representatives for inspections
- Maintain inspection reports, logs, and coating records
- Ensure calibration and proper use of inspection instruments
- Monitor and control rework and repair activities
- Support QA/QC team in preparing final documentation and handover dossiers
Requirements
- Experience in QA/QC inspection of painting and coating works
- Knowledge of surface preparation standards and coating application
- Familiarity with inspection instruments (DFT gauge, hygrometer, surface profile gauge)
- Understanding of HSE standards and safe work practices
- Ability to coordinate with client inspectors and third party agencies

Job Overview
- Seeking a detail oriented and experienced QA/QC Inspector – Painting & Coating to oversee inspection and quality control activities related to surface preparation, painting, and coating works.
- Role involves ensuring compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements while coordinating with production, QA/QC, and client representatives.
