- Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, or using other methods to remove old paint, dirt, and grease.
- Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers.
- Mask and tape off areas not to be painted.
- Select and mix paint colors to match desired shades; use primers or sealers as necessary.
- Apply paint, varnish, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
- Apply second coats or touch ups as needed to achieve a consistent, high quality finish.
- Set up and maintain tools and equipment, including brushes, rollers, ladders, and spray equipment.
- Clean tools and equipment after use and store them properly.
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and materials, and report any shortages to the supervisor.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and client expectations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their painting needs and preferences.

Job Summary
