Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Review, interpret, and clarify doctors' medication orders, including doses, duration, drug interactions, and clinical indications.
- Communicate with ordering doctors when an order is ambiguous or raises a concern.
- Oversee preparation of verified medications, double-checking, labeling, and dispensing.
- Calculate prescription quantities using body weight and patient age.
- Enter outside prescriptions or orders into the Fakeeh Care HIS CPOE before dispensing.
- Call patients promptly to dispensing windows and minimize waiting time.
- Counsel patients and caregivers on safe medication use, storage, and interactions.
- Follow medication safety procedures during dispensing.
- Maintain drug inventory, records, security, and secured storage of narcotics and controlled medications.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
- DHA license or eligibility letter is mandatory.
- 2-3 years of hospital or clinic experience in the GCC.
- Immediate joining is preferred.
