Job Description

  • Answer incoming calls and greet customers promptly and professionally.
  • Take accurate and detailed food and beverage orders from customers.
  • Input orders into the restaurant's order management system.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy.
  • Provide menu recommendations and answer questions about food items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
  • Upsell additional menu items when appropriate.
  • Handle customer inquiries, special requests, and complaints with patience and professionalism.
  • Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
  • Stay updated on menu changes, daily specials, and ongoing promotions.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven customer service experience, preferably in the hospitality or food service industry.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using order management systems and point of sale (POS) software.
  • Basic math skills for handling financial transactions.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage items, including local cuisine and cultural preferences.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong listening skills and ability to accurately record customer orders.
  • Patience and problem solving skills to handle customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Team oriented mindset with a willingness to assist colleagues during busy periods.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast paced environment.
