About the Role

- High volume warehouse experience using a pallet jack and/or forklift is beneficial
- Ability to repetitively and continuously lift up to 70 pounds
- Ability to work in a cold/freezer environment
- Reliable transportation to and from work

About the Role
- Some call it Order Selector, but we like to say you're an Industrial Athlete.
- You'll be handling about 1,500 cases every shift, weighing 30 to 72 pounds each.
- Shifts start at 3 pm, 4 shifts per week from Sunday to Friday, each shift up to 12 hours with overtime as required.
Role Responsibilities
- Maintains an acceptable level of production and accuracy while selecting foodservice orders.
- Loads pallets to ensure safe delivery of product to customers.
- Adheres to all Preferred Work Methods and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Understand and comply with Sysco’s policies and procedures, e.g. health and safety.
- Carries out duties in a safe manner as instructed through safety training.
- Participate in various meetings/groups (shift, departmental, company and safety).
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager and Supervisors.
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- English fluency.
- High volume warehouse experience using a pallet jack and/or forklift is beneficial.
- Medium to high level of physical exertion is required; repetitive, continuous lifting up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to work in a cold/freezer environment.
- Safety conscious with a teamwork attitude.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
Compensation
- Starting hourly wage is CAD 31.19 per hour, increasing to CAD 31.75 after 6 months with additional increases every year.
- CAD 1.00 per hour night shift premium and an additional CAD 1.00 per hour freezer premium if working in that area.
