Oracle Finance Techno-Functional Consultant

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements with finance stakeholders and translate them into solutions.
• Design, implement, configure, and support Oracle Financials solutions.
• Maintain functional specifications, solution documentation, and user manuals.
• Support upgrades, patch testing, implementations, integrations, and testing.
• Develop technical designs, SQL queries, reports, and workflows.
• Provide training, workshops, post-go-live support, and issue resolution.
• Monitor performance, resolve data issues, and optimize finance processes.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance, audit, and security standards.
• Manage change requests and collaborate with Oracle support and external vendors.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and finance process automation.

Education and Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• Oracle Certified Professional in Financials or another relevant Oracle certification is preferred.
• PMP or ITIL certification is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong expertise in Oracle Financial modules, including GL, AP, AR, FA, and Cash Management.
• Working knowledge of PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Workflow, and BI Publisher.
• Experience with APIs, web services, or middleware integrations.
• Knowledge of P2P, O2C, R2R, and asset lifecycle finance processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Oracle Cloud Financials knowledge is preferred.

Experience

• Five to eight years of experience with Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials.
• Proven experience with end-to-end implementation, upgrades, and support projects.
• Experience working with cross-functional finance, audit, and IT teams.
• Strong understanding of finance operations and accounting principles.
• Exposure to RICE components, including reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions.

Additional Competencies
