- Design and implement solutions to optimize performance, scalability, security, and resource utilization
- Lead the design and implementation of secure database configurations across Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and Sybase environments
- Define and enforce security policies (access control, encryption, auditing)
- Develop complex scripts to automate database administration tasks and improve efficiency
- Monitor database health, performance, and availability using advanced tools
- Troubleshoot complex issues (e.g., performance degradation, data corruption) and identify root causes
- Adhere to established database administration policies, security standards, and operational procedures
- Identify and assess database related risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Participate in planning and executing database changes in line with change management procedures
Requirements
- Experience in designing and implementing solutions to optimize performance, scalability, security, and resource utilization
- Expertise in capacity planning, performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, and database security
- Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and Sybase environments
- Ability to develop complex scripts to automate database administration tasks
- Knowledge of governance frameworks and change management procedures
