Role Overview
Provide optometry care and support the operation and quality improvement of the optometry practice and dispensary.
Work with the Medical Director and Head of Department while following professional, regulatory, and international standards.
Clinical and Practice Duties
- Assume responsibility for the quality of care provided to all patients.
- Adhere to high standards of practice, ethics, and professionalism.
- Perform complete eye examinations and contact lens fittings.
- Participate in control and supervision of the optometry practice and dispensary.
- Keep current with new techniques and philosophies across optometry.
- Participate in quality assurance committee, provider, and general staff meetings.
- Assist with medical policies, quality improvement procedures, and evaluation of current practices and procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
Professional Standards
- Follow appropriate international guidelines, DHA regulations, and Joint Commission International standards when treating or managing patients.
- Maintain current knowledge of optometry techniques, philosophies, and equipment procedures.
- Demonstrate professional ethics and conduct at all times.
