About the Role
Halliburton is hiring an Operator Assistant I for well logging operations in Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This entry-level role involves assisting with rigging up/down of well logging equipment, learning oil well operations, and performing maintenance.

Responsibilities
- Assist during rigging up and rigging down of surface and down hole well logging equipment
- Learn basic oil well operations including rig types, drill string components, BOP procedures, and HSE guidelines
- Assist during operation of well logging equipment at job site
- Learn to assemble down hole well logging tools (electric, nuclear, sonic, etc.)
- Learn to maintain, clean and perform preventative maintenance on down hole and surface well logging equipment
- Assist in pre and post job vehicle and equipment inspections and associated paperwork
- Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness
- Comply with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or similar education
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Basic reading comprehension and writing skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required
- Successful completion of Well Control Accreditation Program may be required
- Successful completion of water survival training may be required
- Basic computer skills preferred

Role Overview
- Under strict supervision, assists during rigging up and rigging down of surface and down hole well logging equipment on work locations for the purpose of recording information about sub surface geologic formations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists during rigging up and rigging down of surface and down hole well logging equipment.
- Learns basic oil well operations including identification of different rig types and drill string components, Blow Out Prevention (BOP) procedures and equipment, HSE procedures and guidelines.
- Assists during the operation of well logging equipment at job site.
- Learns to assemble down hole well logging tools (electric, nuclear, sonic, and other well logging tools).
- Learns to maintain, clean and perform preventative maintenance on down hole and surface well logging equipment.
- Assists in the performance of pre and post job vehicle and equipment inspections and associated paperwork and/or reports.
- Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
- Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
- Promotes and takes an active part in quality improvement processes.
Qualifications
- Skills are typically acquired through successful completion of high school or similar education.
- Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required in certain locations.
- Successful completion of Well Control Accreditation Program may be required (some locations).
- Successful completion of water survival training may be required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required.
- Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
- Basic computer skills are preferred.
