Operations Manager – Steel Structure Factory

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily factory operations and ensure production targets are achieved.
• Plan and control cutting, drilling, fit-up, welding, assembly, blasting, painting, and dispatch.
• Manage production teams, supervisors, foremen, fabricators, welders, and subcontractors.
• Monitor productivity, manpower utilization, material consumption, wastage, rework, and production costs.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Procurement, QC, HSE, and Projects departments.
• Ensure production meets approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of factory machinery and equipment.
• Maintain quality, safety, housekeeping, and 5S standards.
• Prepare and monitor operational KPIs, production reports, and improvement plans.
• Ensure on-time completion and dispatch of fabricated steel structures.
• Lead continuous-improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience in steel structure fabrication or manufacturing.
• Proven experience in a senior operations or production management role.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication, welding, painting, and production processes.
• Strong leadership and manpower-management skills.
• Ability to manage production schedules, costs, quality, and deadlines.
• Good knowledge of HSE and quality requirements.
• Ability to read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Fluent Arabic speaker with good English communication skills.
• An engineering degree or diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
