About the Role
The company is seeking an Operations Manager to lead warehouse operations in a high-volume FMCG distribution environment. The role involves managing inbound, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch activities while ensuring productivity, inventory accuracy, safety, and cost control.

Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, put away, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch, ensuring smooth material flow and adherence to SOPs, SLAs, and safety standards
- Monitor and analyze key warehouse KPIs such as order fulfillment rate, picking accuracy, OTIF, dock to stock time, and overall productivity, taking corrective actions when needed
- Lead and supervise warehouse teams including supervisors, team leaders, pickers, and forklift operators, while planning manpower allocation, shift schedules, and productivity targets aligned with volume fluctuations
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and support employee development to maintain a high performing team
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement lean warehouse practices to improve efficiency
- Enhance picking strategies such as batch, wave, and zone picking, and support the effective use of WMS, automation, and digital transformation initiatives
- Ensure high inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock audits, and reconciliation processes
- Monitor product expiry, enforce FIFO/FEFO compliance, and manage damage control while coordinating with inventory control teams to resolve discrepancies and reduce shrinkage
- Control warehouse operating costs including labor, equipment, and consumables, while optimizing space utilization and handling efficiency to reduce cost per order
- Translate distribution center and supply chain strategies into actionable warehouse plans, supporting expansion activities, new SKU onboarding, seasonal peaks, and participating in capacity planning and layout optimization
- Ensure compliance with HSE, food safety, and local regulatory requirements, maintain a safe working environment, and mitigate operational risks related to stock loss, damages, and delays
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment to stores and customers, handle escalations affecting service levels, and maintain high standards of service quality and operational reliability
Requirements
- 5 10 years of experience in warehouse or operations management
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role within FMCG or high volume distribution environments
- Strong hands on experience across inbound, storage, picking, and dispatch operations
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and reporting)
- Solid understanding of inventory management, FIFO/FEFO, KPIs, and cost control
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Analytical mindset with strong problem solving capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Results driven with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement
