Role overview

Anotech is seeking an experienced Offshore Drilling Supervisor to lead safe, efficient, and high-performing drilling operations.

The role covers offshore drilling, completion, and intervention activities in a challenging high-hazard environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead HSE performance as the designated HSE Site Authority Delegate.
  • Co-lead SIMOPS on live production platforms, including H₂S operations.
  • Supervise drilling, completion, and intervention programs against HSE, operational, and statutory requirements.
  • Lead offshore teams, mentor less-experienced personnel, and coordinate with multiple technical disciplines.
  • Review permits, JSAs, and risk assessments and prepare for SIMOPS.
  • Direct drilling contractors and service companies during critical or high-risk operations.
  • Drive performance, efficiency, cost control, and timely well delivery.
  • Analyze live operational data and implement lessons learned.
  • Coordinate offshore logistics and support emergency or crisis response.

Requirements

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 10–15 years of relevant experience as a Drilling Supervisor.
  • Strong horizontal-well experience; ERD experience is highly desirable.
  • Proven SIMOPS exposure, preferably on crowded or live production facilities.
  • Valid IWCF Level 4 – Surface or Subsea certification.
  • Valid OPITO-approved T-BOSIET certification.
  • Fluent English and strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-hazard offshore drilling environment.

Workplace

  • The position is offshore and rotational.
  • The offshore environment has approximately 100–150 personnel on board.

Rotation and shifts

  • The rotation is 28 days on and 28 days off.
  • The role involves 12-hour day and night shifts.
