Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Support naval architectural discipline studies at early project stages.
- Develop marine vessel designs, including hull form optimization and structural analysis using advanced modeling software.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on design specifications and regulatory alignment.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments and recommend design improvements.
- Mentor junior naval architects and engineers.
- Present design proposals and project updates to stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.
- Stay current with industry advancements and regulatory changes and implement best practices.
Required Qualifications and Prerequisites
- Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- 12–20 years of experience in naval architecture or marine design with successful project execution.
- Deep knowledge of hydrodynamics, structural analysis, and stability criteria for marine vessels.
- Proficiency and hands-on experience with MOSES, ANSYS, or an equivalent design and analysis software.
- Expertise in CAD software for marine design and structural analysis.
- Knowledge of finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics techniques.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies for complex projects.
