HSE Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor project-specific HSE policies, procedures, plans, and safe working practices.
- Conduct site inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, hazards, and environmental risks.
- Ensure construction activities comply with risk assessments, method statements, permit-to-work procedures, and HSE requirements.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, induction programs, and awareness sessions for employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
- Review Job Safety Analyses, risk assessments, method statements, and other HSE documentation.
- Monitor PPE compliance and the availability and proper use of safety equipment.
- Monitor high-risk activities including work at height, lifting, excavation, confined spaces, hot work, electrical work, scaffolding, and temporary works.
- Ensure implementation of Permit-to-Work, Lockout/Tagout, and isolation procedures where applicable.
- Coordinate with construction teams to identify hazards and implement controls before work begins.
- Conduct daily and periodic inspections, audits, and site walks and prepare inspection reports.
- Record and investigate incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and environmental events.
- Support root-cause analysis and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and closed.
