Job Purpose / Objective
- Plan, organize, and conduct occupational therapy programs within the assigned project that designed to help patients regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to their handicaps
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent disorders related to speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency.
- Assess patient’s communication skills for the purpose of identifying communication disorders.
- Diagnose and treat language disorders, speech deficits and voice therapy exercise rehabilitation.
- Perform rigid and flexible laryngeal endoscopic examinations.
- Perform pre and post palatal surgery assessments of velopharyngeal competence by endoscopy.
- Manage Microlaryngeosurgery, swallowing disorders, rehabilitating learning disability patients.
- Collaborate with a variety of groups and/or individuals.
- Coordinate meetings and processes for patients.
- Develop treatment plans, interventions and/or educational materials.
- Instruct assigned support staff.
- Instruct eligible patients in the use of appropriate communication technologies.
- Interpret medical reports within the scope.
Education/ Professional Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Occupational Therapy
Experience
- Minimum of Two (2) years of relevant experience
