Responsibilities
- Plan and undertake comprehensive assessments of patients and formulate effective, clinically reasoned treatment plans.
- Utilize various mechanical and electrical equipment, and prosthetic and orthotic devices.
- Demonstrate clinical competence by evaluating effectiveness of care and establishing priorities based on doctor's referral and patient needs.
- Provide expertise in assessment and treatment of acute and chronic pain and musculoskeletal disorders (In patients and Out patients).
- Coordinate long term rehabilitation for patients with spinal cord injuries, brain cancer, stroke or other neurological disorders.
- Perform therapeutic techniques such as heat and cold therapy, therapeutic exercise, and physical therapy.
- Document care planned and delivered in accordance with international standards and HMG Policy.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and assist with quality improvement.
- Provide patient and family education as per needs.

- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation
- At least Two (2) years of experience in a Hospital Setup
- Valid registration of MOH & Saudi Council

Job Purpose / Objective
- Assume responsibility and accountability for physiotherapy care to individual or group of patients to restore function, prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of a body part, and help patients reach maximum performance levels.
- Educate patients regarding physiotherapy techniques.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Plan and undertake comprehensive assessments of patients and to formulate effective, clinically reasoned treatment plans according to the set standards.
- Utilize various mechanical and electrical equipment, and prosthetic and orthotic devices.
- Demonstrate clinical competence by consistently evaluating the effectiveness of the care delivered by self and establish priorities for care based on the doctor’s referral and/or the patient needs.
- Provide particular expertise in the assessment and treatment of acute and chronic pain and musculoskeletal disorders (In patients and Out patients).
- Coordinate the long term rehabilitation process for patient with spinal cord injuries, brain cancer, stroke or other neurological disorders (In patients and Out patients).
- Provide particular expertise in performing therapeutic techniques such as heat and cold therapy using physiotherapy machines (SWD, Traction, etc.) therapeutic exercise, treatment and physical therapy.
- Document care planned and delivered in accordance with the acceptable international standards, HMG Policy and Physiotherapy documentation policy.
- Demonstrate ethical and appropriate behavior for a clinical environment.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards laid down by such by JCIA or CBAHI.
- Assist with Quality improvement in the department.
- Report any occurrence not consistent with the operation of HMG and its standards of services.
- Consider issues of safety, cost and clinical effectiveness when planning and delivering care.
Education/ Professional Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation
Experience
- At least Two (2) years of experience in a Hospital Setup.
Professional Licensing / Certification / Training
- Certification : Relevant certifications
- Licensing : Valid registration of MOH & Saudi Council
