About the Role
Small Steps Learning Difficulties Centre is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join its multidisciplinary team in Dubai.
The role provides assessment and individualized occupational therapy interventions for children with developmental, sensory, motor, and functional needs.
The therapist will work with children, families, and professionals to support development, independence, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized therapy plans.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions supporting children’s development and independence.
- Address fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, activities of daily living, handwriting, visual-motor skills, coordination, balance, motor planning, play, and social participation.
- Monitor and document client progress and update therapy goals.
- Collaborate with ABA therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, teachers, and other professionals.
- Provide parents and caregivers with practical strategies to support children at home.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, progress notes, and reports.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and individualized care planning.
- Follow safeguarding, confidentiality, health and safety, and professional standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Valid DHA Licence or DHA Eligibility is required.
- Experience working with children in a pediatric, clinical, therapy, special education, or developmental setting.
- Experience with ASD, developmental delays, sensory processing difficulties, or other additional needs is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based occupational therapy practices.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient, and child-centred approach.

Compensation
- Pay starts at AED 5,000 per month.
