About the Role

Responsibilities
- Create and maintain best practices in relation to the health & safety and well being of children in our care
- Maintain children’s medical records, ensuring all required medical information and documents are up to date
- Conduct daily medical examination for the children to discover diseases and isolate infected children
- Oversee health and safety, hygiene, and sickness policies and ensure clinic is kept up to date for DHA inspections
- Prepare a safe play environment, set up equipment, ensure toys and equipment are cleaned and stored appropriately
- Support teachers in classrooms as an assistant teacher wherever needed
- Carry out first aid treatment for children and staff and call for emergency assistance whenever required
- Ensure compliance with DHA rules and regulations
- Provide training for nursery on management of allergies and other major medical conditions
- Practice infection control policies and have awareness of this in everyday practice
Requirements
- Nursing qualification (degree or diploma) from an accredited institution
- Valid DHA license or eligibility
- Experience in pediatric or nursery setting

Main Accountabilities
- The nursery nurse is responsible for creating and maintaining best practices in relation to the health & safety and well being of children in our care.
- Maintaining children’s medical records, ensuring all required medical information and documents are up to date.
- Be up to date with all Covid 19 information, requirements, policies, and procedures in nurseries.
- Conducting a daily medical examination for the children so as to discover diseases and the children infected by them.
- Overseeing health and safety, hygiene, and sickness policies and ensuring the clinic is kept up to date for DHA or any other government body inspections.
- Preparing a safe play environment, setting up equipment, ensure toys and equipment are cleaned and stored appropriately.
- Supporting teachers in classrooms as an assistant teacher wherever needed.
