About the Role
New era supermarket is hiring a Night Cashier & Merchandiser to operate POS systems, handle cash, replenish shelves, and provide customer service during night shifts. The role requires basic POS knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently
- Process cash, credit/debit card, and digital payment transactions
- Issue receipts and ensure accurate billing for all customer purchases
- Maintain an accurate cash float and reconcile the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift
- Prepare daily cash reports and report any discrepancies immediately to the supervisor
- Follow company policies regarding cash handling and security procedures
- Refill and replenish shelves to ensure products are always available
- Arrange merchandise according to company merchandising standards and planograms
- Rotate stock using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method
- Check product expiry dates and remove expired or damaged items from shelves
- Ensure all products are properly labeled with correct prices and promotional tags
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of shelves, displays, and storage areas
Requirements

- Good communication and customer service skills

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift and move merchandise when required
- Honest, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision
