Role Overview
The MWR Specialist performs day-to-day operational tasks for installation recreational and community services.
Functional areas may include housekeeping or custodial services, community activities centers, linen exchange, fitness centers, lounges, and media centers.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned installation service operations, including customer service, cleaning, maintenance, inventory, stocking, and linen exchange.
- Support recreational services, fitness centers, lounge operations, linen exchange, and housekeeping or custodial functions.
- Serve alcoholic beverages and assist customers where assigned.
- Provide fitness front desk support and basic technical equipment assistance.
- Plan events and complete event setup and breakdown.
- Maintain safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, and professional work areas.
- Complete required company and government training courses.
- Safeguard government and contractor property, facilities, equipment, and tools.
- Complete time reporting procedures and timesheets accurately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid U.S. passport and driver's license are required.
- Host-country vetting approval is required.
- Fluent English reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension are required.
- Candidates must pass medical, dental, drug-testing, and background-check requirements.
- A valid U.S. Secret or Interim Secret security clearance is required at offer and during employment.
- At least one year of customer-service experience in retail, hotel front desk operations, and/or restaurants is required.
- Good communication, teamwork, decision-making, and customer-service skills are required.
- Ability to operate audio and visual equipment is required.
Working Environment
- Work is primarily indoors but may also be outdoors for events.
- The environment may include heat, cold, dust, noise, and chemicals.
- Overtime and shift work may be required based on contractual needs.
- This is a 100% overseas assignment supporting U.S. interests.
Training and Compliance
Employees must follow applicable federal, state, and local regulations, company work rules, and written instructions.
Task-specific work-environment training will be provided as required.
