Responsibilities
- Install and administer MS SQL Server (standard & enterprise) on Windows platforms
- Manage backup and recovery strategies using physical and logical backup technology
- Perform capacity management, performance monitoring, and system optimization
- Troubleshoot operating system Windows 2016/2019 with Microsoft cluster technology
- Monitor log shipping and log sync between production and standby database (Data Guard)
- Perform database refresh using RMAN backup
- Manage ASM and Real Application Cluster databases
- Use Flashback Technology and identify performance issues with ASH & AWR
- Configure database related scripts on Red Hat Linux for daily reports
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in IT industry as a Microsoft SQL Database Administrator
- Hands on installation and administration of MS SQL Server on Windows platforms
- Microsoft Certified SQL DBA
- Oracle certified professional
- Windows Server Operating System Certifications
- Excellent analytical and design skills at multi product/multi environment level
- Experience in backup and recovery strategies through physical and logical backup technology
- Excellent knowledge of managing Microsoft SQL database on Windows servers
- Expert knowledge of capacity management, performance monitoring and system optimization
- Knowledge troubleshooting of operating system Windows 2016/2019 with Microsoft cluster technology
- Depth knowledge in monitoring log shipping and log sync between production and standby database (Data Guard)
- Operational knowledge for database refresh using RMAN backup
